Today we’re celebrating the birthday of Jim Thorpe, an American athlete and Olympic gold medalist, who became the first Native American to win gold for the United States! One of the most underrated athletes, and possibly one of the greatest, Jim had to battle with racism and ignorance throughout his whole life. His legacy is an inspiration! Happy birthday, Jim!
